Accessibility Statement
At Exotic Zoo, we are committed to ensuring that all visitors can enjoy a welcoming, inclusive, and accessible experience. We believe that access to wildlife education and conservation should be available to everyone.
Accessibility at the Zoo
We want every guest to feel comfortable and included during their visit. Our facilities and services include:
· Step-free access (Ramps) to major pathways and exhibits.
· Accessible toilets located in the café and by the picnic area in the zoo.
· Designated accessible parking spaces near our entrance.
· Seating areas across the zoo for rest and relaxation
· Service animals are welcome Please read our Assistance Dog policy here
Our Woodland Walk features uneven terrain, natural surfaces, and varying gradients, and is therefore not recommended for wheelchair users or those requiring step-free access. We encourage visitors to contact us ahead of their visit if they have specific accessibility needs.
Sensory Considerations
As an exotic zoo, we offer a range of immersive environments designed to reflect habitats from around the world. These include our Rainforest, Desert, Farm, and Nocturnal areas. Each zone is designed with its own:
- Distinct colours and lighting to reflect the natural habitat
- Informational voiceovers that guide visitors and explain each environment and the animals that live there
These features are intended to create an engaging and educational experience but may be stimulating for some visitors.
Please also be aware that throughout the zoo you may encounter:
- Animal sounds that may be loud or unexpected
- Strong natural smells
- Changes in lighting, particularly in the nocturnal area
- Busier, more crowded spaces during peak times
To support visitors who prefer a calmer environment, we offer Quiet Hours on selected dates you can Book Now These sessions are limited to a smaller number of guests, providing a more relaxed and less crowded experience.
If you have specific sensory needs, we recommend contacting us in advance so we can help you plan your visit.
